I know that company well..they've been coming around East coast cons for a while and some of my friends volunteer to work at the booth when they come to a con in our area.......SUCH a great variety of stuff!

And they are huge supporters of jrock/v-kei bands...esp ones that come to the US to perform...

but yeah i was pretty dissapointed that psc booth wasn't there...i wanted some other jrock stuff.

What kind of stuff does plant zero have left?
I bought a wristband but it ended up getting lost SOMEHOW during the concert ;_;
so sad...

I would like to get another, or even a tshirt too! (bought one for my bf since he couldn't come, and it looks sooo good now I want one too LOL)

I'm late on seeing this thread lol.

This con went very well! I was really only there for Import Reactor and Showdown Championships, but I liked how things turned out for the most part. Here are my complaints:

-Initial D/Wangan Midnight were off most of the time. I really wanted to full tune my car since i'm poor and can't afford to do it at PZ There was only one time on Saturday that I saw it on, and I didn't get to play because the noobs who don't usually play at arcades don't realize that you aren't supposed to continue when there's a group of people waiting to play.

-It was weird seeing the cop that put me in handcuffs about a year prior to. How come the con wasn't PZ's HPD police only A lot of people were saying that same cop was giving people shit for ridiculous reasons.

-Showdown Championships... since when were you allowed to blue ribbon a 3rd teammate onto your team at the last minute once the tournament started just because your original member didn't show up?

-Joon spent good money on a plane ticket to Houston just to get punked by me in Tetris... WASTE OF MONEY!

-Deneice didn't drink with me. </3 </3 (I forgive you though since you're a hot mama )

Other than these minor complaints, the con was cool! I want to take home a trophy at Import Reactor next year

Hey guys I would Like to say GREAT JOB! I think this year went much smoother than last. Some of the larger problems that I noticed last year were smoothed out. I am glad that you placed the J-Fashion show in a larger room this year, thank you. There was room enough for everyone this year. Awesomeness.
Only down thing is that events are still runing a little slow and behind. I know that is a hard dance to get everything organized and running. So understandable. That is I feel the only seen issue that really could use a little TLC. So over all... FAN!TASTIC! You guys rock. Thank you for putting on such an awesome event.

So far AM 09 is the best con that I've been too, followed closely by San Japan and Mechacon. You guys really blew everyone out of the water this year.

i went to anime matsuri 2009 and brought along my bf ( he is an otaku in training) and he has never been to any cons before this is why its was just as important.

pros;

1. i loved the miyavi Q&A, even though most of the questions were not as stimulating as i thought i would be, like come on man that guy knew Gackt and no one said anything about that.

2. the food was cheap and affordable! i mean the chilli cheese hotdogs were puny at all they were great, they had a variety of perch and pocky , they even had the mens pocky (its pretzel and choco not biscut and choco) which was great. they had melon flavored ramune ^^ i havent had that in a long time since when my family was stationed in okinawa! and they had regular cheap soda's about 50cents i think or 75cents ne ? anyways all this goes hand and hand since your more likely to spend you okane on other things.

3. this time there wasnt any pervy people outside of the con trying to snap pics of me ^^

4. ive met some really nice people to do future meet ups with when it comes to other cons

5. the strong machine1 &2 presentation....let me say that it was awesome!!! sugoi ne , super great , wunderbar!!! i didnt think that anyone who get her and her father over here stateside only because the popping dance style used to just stay in japan and the only place you could see dancing like that would be the competitions over there in nihon so thank you for bringing her here! im pretty sure she and her father more than impressed just about anyone who saw her presentaion.

and now the cons

1. the dealers room could have had a little bit more things, i mean it was great having all the diffrent booths with the real swords,and the great variety of asian cinema, however the costumes they had up for sale were kinda expensive.

2. i bought a tail that kind of looked like a tainuki's tail however i guess i got absent minded and lost it in the bathroom.

3. the shows were delayed 25-30 minutes like the miyavi Q&A for example and the cosplay masqurade or contest too.

4. um err..... there were some drunk people around too that kinda got sloppy, but i dont think anyone really noticed or cared.

but all and all my bf and i very much enjoyed the con, it was his first con and he even said it was awesome, so he is now inspired to be a cosplayer now

Thank you for the compliments. Yes we promised to work harder and get better. I'm glad you see the results. Our hard work does not end at this con though, we still have things to improve upon for next year.

O.O .......they were blasting music? I was on the 10th floor on the side of the hotel that the river walk thing was on. So the oppostie side of Import Reactor. I don't remember hearing any music. That sucks, *pouts* I woulda been jamming.

I don't remember if I had asked this already, but what was up with the cocnert line? Like, why couldn't people line up early? I woke up to wait in line early because I wanted to claim a good spot because I am very short and I LOVE Miyavi, but staff kept breaking up the line which lead to a lot of people getting frustrated.

But i got to say something, this past AM 09 was indeed a terrefic convention, great Lo-cal great vibe from it, and well done, tho i never got to see Jason David Frank..... But all in all super awesome job you guys! XD
